MailChimp for Restaurant Reservations ready for Beta
The MailChimp for Restaurant Reservations beta period is now over. The addon will be released soon.
My first addon for Restaurant Reservations is nearly ready and I’m looking for a few people to participate in a short beta period. MailChimp for Restaurant Reservations will allow you to sign up new booking requests to your MailChimp mailing list. In return for participating, I’ll give you a free one-year license for the addon when it’s released.
What’s the addon do?
MailChimp for Restaurant Reservations integrates my online reservations plugin with the MailChimp mailing list service. When a visitor makes a reservation on your site, you can automatically subscribe them to your MailChimp mailing list. You can merge details about the reservation, such as their name, date, party size and phone number, into fields in your MailChimp list.
What do I need to get the beta?
To participate in the beta program, you need to be using my Restaurant Reservations plugin and have a MailChimp mailing list. When you signup, I’ll send you a copy of the plugin for you to upload to your site. I’ll ask that you get it installed and running within a week of receiving the beta copy, so that you can test it out and provide feedback in a timely manner.
All I want to know is if you have any difficulties getting it running or if there are any must-have features you’re missing. The beta is designed to help me improve the initial release, but the plugin is already well tested and ready-to-go. I’m just wrapping up some loose ends like documentation.
Where do I sign up?
Just send me a message through this site and let me know you want to participate. I’ll only accept about a dozen people and the beta period will be pretty short, so hurry up.
In your signup message, please include a link to your site where you’re using the plugin. I’ll get in touch and send you the beta as soon as it’s packaged. Once the plugin is released, I’ll send you an updated copy along with a free license key that’s good for support and updates for one year.
If you’re using one of my themes, let me know in the message. I’ve got some style adjustments to improve compatibility and I’ll help get you set up.
Why MailChimp and not…?
Do you use a different mailing list service? Let me know and maybe I’ll support it in a future addon. MailChimp is just the one I use, so I chose it for my first addon.
